Kuching Scuba Centre's PADI Dive Courses are operated by a group of certified diving Instructors who have over decade of experience.
Discover Scuba Diving
The DSD program is an introduction to the world of scuba-diving. It’s conducted in 2 parts, namely an introduction to scuba diving through a one-hour classroom session, followed by two hours practical session in the Swimming Pool.
Fees per Person:
RM350
DSD fees include the rental of the following scuba gears such as mask, snorkel, fins, weights, belt, Buoyancy Control Device, and regulator.
Pre-Requisites:
Age above 10
Course Duration:
3 hours (Discover Scuba Diving is not a scuba certification)
Open Water Diver (OWD)
The OWD course arms you with the background information you need to dive safely. Owing an OWD license is your first step towards exploring the world beneath the waves.
Fees per Person:
RM1600 (Group sign-up of 4 persons and above)
Pre-Requisites:
- Age 10 to 14 who earned a Junior Open Water Diver Certification.
- Age above 15
Student candidates need to fulfil the following:
- Liability Release and Assumption Of Risk Agreement (10072)
- Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire (10346)
- Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding (10060)

Course Duration:
4 to 7 days
Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD)
The AOWD course is your next step after the OWD in your journey to explore the underwater world. Our AOWD course is designed to build your confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. In this course, you will be trying out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. Your dives will be logged while you expand your capabilities.
Fees per Person:

Pre-Requisites:
- Certified OWD
- Approved medical statement by a Medical General Practitioner
- Age 15/12

Course Duration:
2 to 4 days
Emergency First Response (EFR) / Care for Children /AED
The EFR training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers in the face of a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a controlled learning environment.

Rescue Diver (RD)
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to better face dive emergencies via the usage of various techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn the different distress indicators to watch out for and the appropriate responses. Topics covered include:
- Self rescue
- Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
